An oldie, image taken January 2010. Challenge from Kathy from 365Project.org - Framed, using elements of a scene to create a frame within a frame. Not sure if this works. I've had a few crazy busy weeks with a few more ahead. A little behind in posting.
Erected in 1924, the cross atop Mount Royal commemorates January 6, 1643, when In 1643, Sieur de Maisonneuve, Montréal's founder, erected a wooden cross and kept his promise to carry it to the summit of Mount Royal if the young colony survived flooding. Today, this monument erected in 1924 stands 30 metres (98 feet) high and when lit, can be seen from miles away.
Low key treatment. On April 21st, Montreal got hit with a record-breaking snowfall, and the temperature plunged below the freezing mark.
