Drive to L'Anse aux meadows - St. Anthony

What can we say, it was another rainy, windy, foggy day and a miserable drive. You are probably thinking out loud “what is it with the Rourkes.” Nonetheless, we were thrilled to see our first iceberg followed by many more, as we travelled north the more we saw and the bigger they got.

Can’t wait for Twillingate where we will be in for a treat – so they say. Glenn said let’s put our rain gear on and walk to the L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site the first known site established by Vikings in North America over 1000 years ago., I said no not today. So, all in all not a terribly memorable day except for the bergs. Continue to be impressed on how friendly and helpful the people are. Weather expected to change for the better tomorrow, so it will be a big day. Maybe even a berg and whale watching tour.

Saw our first wildlife just outside the B&B – a Newfie hare! Hoping for something more exotic soon. A demain!
